Mission and Vision of the Art Center

The Art Center at Yuan Ze University is dedicated to integrating art, culture, humanities, and technology, highlighting the school’s interdisciplinary characteristics. Our mission is to promote innovation and cultural exchange through art, providing a diverse platform for art education and exhibitions for both students and the community. Our vision is to inspire creativity through art, foster interdisciplinary exchange across various fields, and create a space that combines tradition with technology, allowing more people to experience the power of culture through art.

Facilities and Resources

The Art Center features a small yet versatile exhibition space—the Mini Exhibition Hub—located on the first floor of Building 3 on campus. Sharing facilities and resources with the Department of Art and Design, we offer an ideal platform for students and artists to create and exhibit their work in a professional environment that encourages creativity. The Art Center is also committed to creating a space that integrates the community with the campus, extending art beyond the campus and contributing to the development of local culture.

Education and Research

Each year, the Art Center collaborates with the Department of Art and Design at Yuan Ze University to host various exhibitions and performances, from traditional art exhibitions and student showcases to tech-art displays, covering diverse creative forms. In the spring, we hold the "Peach Blossom Workshop," where students from the Department of Art and Design, under the guidance of artists and designers, create art together with residents of Neili Village, bringing professional skills into the community and realizing cross-disciplinary learning and innovation. Starting from the 113-2 academic year, in line with the school’s Higher Education Sprout Project—Exploring Cross-Disciplinary Courses—the Center will offer cross-disciplinary micro-courses, inviting industry artists to provide hands-on creative instruction through workshops, expanding students' career potential while maintaining strong industry connections.

Exhibitions and Events

The Art Center hosts an annual Community Arts Festival, introducing community culture into the campus and promoting artistic interaction between the campus and the community. We also organize large-scale concerts, invite internationally renowned art groups for performances and lectures, and regularly offer hands-on art and cultural workshops, film festivals, and master lectures, with 3 to 4 events held each semester, enriching the cultural life on campus. Through diverse exhibitions and events, the Art Center aims to enhance the community’s and public’s awareness and engagement in the arts.

External Cooperation and Social Impact

The Art Center actively collaborates with domestic and international art institutions, technology companies, and community groups, promoting social impact through art to enhance the aesthetics of public spaces and social well-being. Our annual Community Arts Festival and the "Peach Blossom Workshop" serve as vital platforms for connecting local culture with the community. We are committed to bringing art and design practices into the local community, making art a powerful force for social development.
